Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Trainings
Although non-destructive testing (NDT) training is offered as an elective course in some university departments, there is no separate department specifically dedicated to training NDT operators/experts. The absence of a distinct department for a profession that is becoming increasingly important every day is a strange contradiction. This contradiction can be partly explained by the international significance of non-destructive testing.
As non-destructive testing is an internationally recognized practice for quality assurance, the rules for education and certification are established and implemented on an international level. There are two widely used non-destructive testing training and certification systems globally:
- European system: Basic standard (ISO 9712)
- American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT SNT TC 1A) programs and recommendations.

Prior to the training, a customized program is prepared, taking into account the industry in which the company operates, the characteristics of the parts it produces, and customer demands. Theoretical and practical training is provided in the company’s environment (face-to-face training). Thus;

- Ensures that personnel learn the inspections of the parts they produce in the best possible way,

- Ultrasonic Testing: Level I ve Level II
- Magnetic Particle Testing: Level I ve Level II
- Penetrant Testing: Level I ve Level II
- Eddy Current: Level I ve Level II
After successfully completing the company-specific training program provided by ANKALİTE, individuals are awarded internationally recognized certificates from the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT).
Online Education System (İNDTOKULU)
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Trainings
Employees of companies and individual participants can attend the INDTOKULU training program, a joint brand of ANKALİTE and METU. Theoretical training is provided online at www.indtokulu.com. Practical training is conducted either at the METU Non-Destructive Testing Center or, upon request and depending on the number of participants, at the company premises.
Individuals who successfully complete the training program provided by INDTOKULU are awarded internationally recognized ASNT SNT-TC-1A or EN ISO 9712 certificates.
Certificates issued according to SNT-TC-1A standards are provided by INDTOKULU, while certificates issued according to EN ISO 9712 standards are provided by METU-KTTMM Certification Center.
Internet-based training and certification services cover non-destructive testing methods according to EN ISO 9712 and ASNT SNT-TC-1A standards;
